Property
Phosphate esters have corrosion inhibitory properties, both as an acid and as a metal / amine salt. Phosphate triethanol amine salts have optimal protection against corrosion in water and oil-based systems. Phosphate esters have beneficial properties that make them useful as anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives in cutting and grinding liquids. Phosphate esters are also used in water-based hydraulic fluids as lubricants to reduce pump wear and corrosion control. They are also used in the manufacture of greases, painting compounds, lubricants and gear oils.
